jim  Soon after graduating high school in Indiana the delicious Tammy Lynn Michaels moved to New York to pursue her acting career. Before long she moved to L.A. and, as legend has it, landed the role of queen bitch Nicole Julian on the inventive WB show POPULAR. Tammy's tigress eyes and mischievous smile made her the sexiest incarnation of evil the small screen has ever known. Whenever POPULAR's plots revolved around her the shows were better. She also always made the most of her usual supporting roles. The crisp dialogue, combined with Tammy's whip-smart comic delivery helped her land a spot on Entertainment Weekly Magazine's 1999 "It List". Since POPULAR's disappointing final season (which, not coincidentally, seemed to feature less and less Tammy) and it's subsequent cancellation (boo hiss), Tammy has been absent from public eye. The exception to this being countless photos snapped of her with girlfriend Melissa Etheridge. Yes, even more disheartening than the loss of POPULAR is the fact that I don't exactly have a shot at Ms. Michaels. Of course, this has less to do with her dating a girl than it does with me being a big dork that writes for a website. Since POPULAR's cancellation, Tammy has popped up on THE 80'S SHOW and will be featured in former POPULAR writer Ryan Murphy's upcoming WHY CAN'T I BE AUDREY HEPBURN. I know that Tammy will be make a bigger splash in the movies in coming years, she's immensely talented, if she goes the way I think she will, she will be considered one of the top young female comediennes working, she's got fiery energy and oh, yeah, HOT AS HELL!!!! Now if she's looking for a sure fire new project to work on there is this hilarious script floating around out there called THE DETERMINATION OF MORTALS with a great character named, call it fate, Jackie Julian. Tammy, call my agent...or at least me...  |
